..." wishing you a very happy new year!!" this tag is wished by most of us. but lets think about this, y must we celebrate 2009 instead of our 1429H? is there any celebration for 1430H? any usrah, or any event to evaluate or muhasabah our performances in 1428H, anything for 1429H and 1430H? >>not even in UniMAP i must say!
we set our new goals when the 2008 is saying tata...we are happy and proud when most of our goals were achieved. but have we really achieved our goals in 1430H? any goals touching our way of life? --Islam is our way of life? i am far from a gud wife, a gud mother and a gud ummah. but each day i wud remind myself not to get carried away with the materialistics in life. trying my best to be a gud ummah.
most of us are very keen to celebrate the 2009 new year. the so called ambang tahun baru, perarakan tahun baru, sambutan tahun baru can be seen all over Malaysia, at every state, every town there is. but instead, is there any Majlis Solat Berjemaah besar-besaran been conducted on 29th of december 2008 to welcome our 1st Muharram 1430H?
what do you have to answer to Allah?
frankly, i am so very sad looking at my friends who are looking forward for tonite's celebration!fireworks, free flow wine, new year dances, couples hugging tightly..
Nauzubillah! Doa akhir tahun right after Asar prayers, and doa awal tahun right after Maghrib, solat sunat, Y in the aren't we aware of these things? these are some of our amalan to welcome our new year should be.
May Allah swt bless us all and may we have blessing year ahead.
Amin!
note: geram tahap gaban tgk org dok kalut tak ketahuan hala punca nak celebrate 2009 new year

i bought him a few books (soft books too) just to create the interest of reading. this scene was caught on camera while he was at his tokteh's house (my MIL). i bought books in English as our mother tongue is Malay knowing that he will be talking mostly in Malay.. i guess different people has different views.
Azfar started to Kuling-kuling Sapi (old folks song)...the moment he wakes up, when he is feeling bored...semuala.. :) the song goes like this:

Auntie Yah as usual wud want to meet Azfar. so IKEA we went.. how forgetful i was, it was packed with human!!! the long Q..no thanks..we wondered at IKANO and the curve for about 3 hours and headed to Subang Jaya as TokNgah wanted to give us a treat..TQ TokNgah.. Azfar fell asleep comfortably even when TGIF waiters were singing loudly..

stopped at Bukit Merah R&R for Azfar's 'tea' :). Tok made him a nice rice+sweet potato puree. after feeding him, we continued our journey to KL. Alhamdulillah, it didnt rain at all..not even a single drop ... Chiak as usual kept calling me every 1-2 hours just to ask where were we, how was the road traffic, what is his groovy cucu doing... :)
we reached TokSu Mike & Toksu Mas's high-rise at around 9pm after caught in Sg Buloh's jam.. damn!! Azfar was happy all the way from Perlis. talking non-stop with baba & ummi ..hehehhehe...

:: KL here we go::
:: Azfar's 1st Solid Food ::
:) yay!! giving solid food to babies should be done slowly and consistently. I introduced solid food to my boy at the age of 4 months (4 months and 2 days). My mom made him blended rice and sweet potato and his loved it very much! during nite, i served him home-made apple juice. its been a regular now..mostly my mom wud serve azfar sweet potato(his favourite) & rice, papaya & rice, potato and rice (not his favourite). at home i made him apple & rice, apple juice, blended papaya, blended sweet potato.
my mom and his nanny keep telling me and my husband, azfar is one 'good' boy. he screams when he wants more of his lunch..kekkeke...cool haa...
