such a light and fluffy scarf

Professor Farid Ghani dropped by at my office and asked if i will still be in the office for the next 10 minutes. he usually has something to discuss or to share. i really respect him as he knows the rules, regulations, what a lecturer suppose to do, he knows a lot and i think that is y USM reluctantly let him come to UniMAP. he came with a very small paperbag. not knowing wat inside, he explained that he noticed that i sometimes put on colourful scarfs and sometimes with patterns on. so he get me a 100% indian silk scarf for me during his last visit home to India.

TQ Prof! as wise man says~ its the thought that counts. walhal rasanya aku takkan pakai pun scart ni...kecik size dia :)

:: NO TO TESCO ::

I received an e-mail from a colleague just now. Alhamdulillah, i received the e-mail just before the weekends. intended to shop at Tesco Mergong this weekends. Lets band anything to do with Israel>>Mc Donalds, KFC, Tecso, Fotopages....please update the list! With a simple spread of news, we may change the world. Lets unite to ban Israel!!!

i just received a sijil penghargaan from UniMAP ..ngueh ngueh ngueh...a write-up for the Tun Mahathir's Book by UniMAP..at least ada gak publication in 2007 :)

:: a warm bowl of beef curry ::

Alhamdulillah today azfar is 7 months old! :)

my ~j.e.j.a.k.a.~ is not feeling gud. down with slight fever. he wanted me to make him roti jala and beef curry. and so while he was out for cycling in the morning, i prepared the beef curry. and just before maghrib, my also little big boy asked for roti jala. i dont have the roti jala mold at home and so i used the sandwich bag..hehehe.. cut off the end..and walllap.. not so fine roti jala.


nellie, yayah...i'll make sure roti jala will be served when u both come over! :)

Roti Jala by haku-ko

2 cups of plain flour
1 egg ( i dun like the smell of eggs, so i just threw in 1 egg instead of 2)
tap water (enough to make a loose batter)
2 tablespoonful of oil
1 screw pine leaf
tiny drops of yellow colouring (optional)

how i did it without the mold?

1. mix the flour, water, egg & colouring
2.make sure the batter is loose (u dun want the batter to be thick or else u'll be having trouble with the mold)
3. using a non-stick pan, rub the oil using the screw pine leaf lightly
4. use the sandwich bag and go round&round the pan (make it sure tangles!)
5.turn over for a minute
6. fold it into a crepe shape or popia shape
7. serve with warm beef+potato+sweet potato curry
8. sedappp oooo.....

p/s: can't wait for azfar's new carpet..(where else can u get cheap things if its not IKEA) TQ toksu mas + toksu mike..

:: which one is to be deliberate? 1430H or 2009..::

..." wishing you a very happy new year!!" this tag is wished by most of us. but lets think about this, y must we celebrate 2009 instead of our 1429H? is there any celebration for 1430H? any usrah, or any event to evaluate or muhasabah our performances in 1428H, anything for 1429H and 1430H? >>not even in UniMAP i must say!

we set our new goals when the 2008 is saying tata...we are happy and proud when most of our goals were achieved. but have we really achieved our goals in 1430H? any goals touching our way of life? --Islam is our way of life? i am far from a gud wife, a gud mother and a gud ummah. but each day i wud remind myself not to get carried away with the materialistics in life. trying my best to be a gud ummah.

most of us are very keen to celebrate the 2009 new year. the so called ambang tahun baru, perarakan tahun baru, sambutan tahun baru can be seen all over Malaysia, at every state, every town there is. but instead, is there any Majlis Solat Berjemaah besar-besaran been conducted on 29th of december 2008 to welcome our 1st Muharram 1430H?

what do you have to answer to Allah?

frankly, i am so very sad looking at my friends who are looking forward for tonite's celebration!fireworks, free flow wine, new year dances, couples hugging tightly..

Nauzubillah! Doa akhir tahun right after Asar prayers, and doa awal tahun right after Maghrib, solat sunat, Y in the aren't we aware of these things? these are some of our amalan to welcome our new year should be.

May Allah swt bless us all and may we have blessing year ahead.

last nite, we went out to meet our doctor. ~j.e.j.a.k.a.~ is having seasonal rash. the doctor prescribed a few tablets and we headed home as my little hero was feeling very sleepy.
