Azfar had his treat late last nite :) and we had our late ronda-ronda malam....nak lagi

As early as 7am, i rushed to the Pasar Tani 2 get some ikan masin to match with pulut tanak. On my way back to the car, i saw the stall selling very fresh chubby looking mackerel & sardines. wat more, i grabbed 2 kilos of those, grab 3 torch flowers (bunga kantan) for the assam laksa.

my in laws came for the tea. they cudnt enjoy the laksa as most Perlis-ian enjoy Laksa Kola.

Azfar and I joined Tok, Chiaq n abg aqiil to our dusun at Bukit Manik to get some fresh durians. TokMat (the gardener) helped us there. as usual Chiaq wont allow his grandsons out of the car-takut kena gigit nyamuk :D

:: homemade food is always comforting ::

Homemade Chicken Burger

i love eating burger!!!! i really do.

the stuffs u need:

500gm of minced chicken (can use beef/lamb if u want)
1 large onion-chopped
1 tablespoon of mustard
1 teaspoon of salt
some chopped fresh coriander
black pepper/white pepper

2 potatoes-finely sliced and deep fried (season with paprika and salt)

how i did it?
1. EASY
2. mix all the ingredients expect for the potatoes
3. make 5 patties
4. grill the patties (4 mins each side; make sure u got the char marks)
5. serve with hot toasted bun, pickled cucumber, cheese and potatoes
6. burpppp!!!

:: it is BABA's DAY ::

to my dear Love, I love You so much, no word can decsribe how thankful & grateful i am having u as my partner and how lucky AzfarHazim is having u as his Baba. We love u!!!!

since Baba will be working on Sunday, so i (on behalf of AzfarHazim) decided to celebrate Baba's Day on last Sunday(14th June 2009). AzfarHazim chose the cake himself (seriously he picked that one). I prepared a simple dinner for us.

1 Year Young

Azfar Hazim is now 1 Year Young :) a big boy now. how time flies. i can still remember in details on the same date last year. where i was during that date, how i was in the delivery suite. :) it is still fresh and crunchy!

4th June 2008 - after almost 11 hours in the delivery suite, finally Dr Kamaruzaman Ali the gynae seek permission from my husband to do LSCS. i can still remember the anesthetist asking my weight, height and all. i answered all the questions before the nurses ..hehehe..tgh2 sakit pun leh jawab soalan..the contractions that started around 3pm were painful and i can still remember.

Dr Kamaruzaman : Aiza, try push sekali
Me:nak push macam mana ni..tak terasa ..sakitnyaaa
Nurse:adik teran ..macam berak taik keras
Me:sakitnya..taktau macam mana..saya tak penah berak taik keras..berak elok saja!!!!!!! (i can still cakap pandai even tengah sakit :D )

Dr Kamaruzaman asked me to push..3 times and then decided i cudnt do it.so..emergency LSCS. A week before that, he told my husband and i that i might not able to deliver normally due to my baby's head. It was not yet engaged. We were suppose to do another check up on Thursday but i there i was in the delivery suite on Wednesday ...i delivered Azfar Hazim Hasnizam 2 weeks earlier than the EDD (18/6)...more

at exactly 5.59pm i delivered a healthy handsome groovy boy -Azfar Hazim bin Hasnizam


we both are so thankful, Azfar Hazim is now 1 year and without any hiccups he is a healthy boy-minus the slight fever that comes and goes. otherwise, he is healthy. as we both really looked forward for a birthday bash for him, we had to postpone. a week before his birthday, Azfar Hazim was admitted to Kedah Medical Centre due to bad cough and high fever :(

we want to wait until he is fully recovered then only the real celebration will be done . Insya Allah, a kenduri kesyukuran will be organised.

although no birthday bash or watever, we still celebrate his birthday in our way. the day started off with a photoshoot with KC at Gua Sami. we even brought the big heavy cake! Thanks Kak Tania for the lively and cute cake. KC was the same photographer that did my pregnancy photoshoot >> click here

we headed straight to Klinik Sedhu since Baba was having a swelling feet! he was bitten by a snake!

the very next day we went to Penang for a shopping spree at Mothercare and Giant hypermarket :) i bought azfar a BabyWarma and Baba bought him a swimming attire :) those were his birthday treats! :)

:: Some Updates ::

Thursday-had to apply for leave since AzfarHazim was down with slight fever. I went to mom's since ~j.e.j.a.k.a~ wanted to fix something there. requested by him, mom made Kari Kepala Ikan+Teloq Ikan...went to nat khamih to get a fish head and teloq ikan(Malaysian's Caviar) ..mom prepared the curry mixture and i managed to come up with a curry..a very gud curry (at par with my mom's)..mujuq Mak tlg bancuh rempah..heheheh... yum yummmmmmmmmmmmm

Saturdays-officially will be my exercise day ..yay! finally my close fren & i managed to grab a personal trainer. the session consists of exercises that are meant for LSCS moms like us. :) using a fitball and a yoga mat. damn kewl! so watch out those tempting new clothes on the list..heheheh...am gonna grab those beautylicious shirts and pants by next september! heheheh.. *berangan lebih* we are trying hard to fix another day in the week just to make sure the momentum is there.

on Monday,after ~j.e.j.a.k.a.~ went for kenduri aqiqah we were off to celebrate Fifi Ares a.k.a. adik Dzul a.k.a. Uncle Ipi we went for Our League at Star Parade. Fifi Ares will be joining Taj College for a 3 year degree course. Auntie Nun and A'a joined us..Fifi will find any reason..just anything to celebrate.. hehehe..cute boy! we had so much fun during the 2 game-league. AzfarHazim enjoyed looking,touching, screaming at those colourful balls. :) 1st game--hehehhe...Fifi lost, 2nd game won by just 1 point ahead..bagi can ja tu..

:: I LOVE YOU MAK ::

This year i celebrated Mother's Day 2 days earlier due to some unadjustable things :) prepared lamb chops, rosemary grilled chicken, garlic bread, wedges + fries,whipped potato and iced lemon tea. the dinner was to celebrate mom's day. fifi helped to play with azfar while i was preparing the dinner. lucikly i finished everything at 8pm :) phew. i was glad! sorry mak, no cake this year..lupa nak bake a cake for my mom. we all enjoyed the dinner. wat was left was a some garlic bread crusts and yes...the 3 men enjoyed 7pcs of that lamb chops!!! as my Abah usually says...sendiri tanggung na kolestrol...


the very next nite, Abah decided to treat the MOMS for a dinner (Mak, my sis, my sis in law and me). so all the mothers that nite enjoyed our dinner. Chiaq (pronounce with dengung) belanja!!!

a few days back, i received an email from my x-deputy dean-a very motivational and full of sincerity. she has been called back to UTM to finish her contract there. she sent this email on Angel a.k.a Mother. i was very touched reading the email. back then when i was not a mother, i sobbed thinking of my mom while reading the poem. and this time, i sobbed too thinking of my mom (balik keja teruih pi nyembang2 ngan mak) and thinking of how my children will treat me..will they treat me the way i treat my parents ..im hoping so.

the email ~ i dont know how true is email is but moral of the story is very touching!

as for the celebration, i plan to cook dinner for my mom. she loves carnation and roses, that too will be on the table.. :) but those just cudnt be at par with what she had given, showered, teach, comfort me. i love u Mak..

:: Short Trip to Penang :: Ureshii ne

we started off at around 7.30 am from home. Azfar as usual woke up around 6am and he too was busy 'lending hands' with the bags. :) i was busy preparing for ~j.e.j.a.k.a.~ stuffs azfar just cudnt stop helping me..hehehe..he just want me to carry..takut org tinggai dia la tu..

we tested the Picasso. damn it was a gud ride. we took the ferry. Azfar was so thrilled and cudnt stop waving at the sea...splashing towards the ferry..heheh..it was fun!! reached the penang island and went straight to Komtar to get mat over's 85mm canon lens. stopped at the stadium for lunch and off we go to Mothercare Gurney..yeay! frankly, i did not find any outstanding items for my son. so i just bought him 3 pairs of socks and a handsome t-shirt. that was all.

Q-ing for the ferry

we joined the afternoon game session buat that was only for 1/2 hour. Azfar wanted to have his afternoon nap. Later, we had no choice but to get KFC mashed potato for him. Luckily during the dinner they serve Kanji (rice porridge with santan and chicken, veges and shrimps). Azfar enjoyed the dinner and guess what?? baba got himself a FRIDGE!!!(lucky draw) hehehehe...

shopping at the Cold Storage?? not this time, we settled with giant aloq staq :D

:: Some Updates ::

I was very very very busy >>with the stressful office environment (oopssss, i cant say much since im an emotional+unprofesional personel). Wat ever it takes, my Sundays with my 2 sweethearts definitely unstopable + undisturbable (is there such word??)

at around 11 am, azfar fell asleep and so my kitchen starts to smell :) smells good surely! :) I was inspired by a TV show on AFC - it was Food Lovers Guide To Australia. It showed this simple Thai Chicken and so i decided to try the recipe. and yes, it was proven marvelously simple and finger lickin' good! so try one urself.

and on that nite, after a visit to my inlaw's, Ipi, Nun and the 3 of us, went to MyCafe. we tried the new section which was fully air-conditioned. and it was cozy. Azfar cudnt stop looking at those cute dimed lites, the red walls.. :) we enjoyed our dinner!

:: Ayam Padped ::

What you need are:

• 4 Chicken -i chose to use chicken wings
  
• 6 cabai melaka (cili padi)
• 1 large onion (cut into wedges of 4)
• 3 kaffir lime leaves
• 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon of chili sauce (to add colour)
  
• salt to taste
• tumeric powder
• vegetable oil to saute

Step-by-step:

• mix the chicken wings with salt and tumeric
• fry til golden brown
• using a different pan, saute the onions+cabai melaka
• add the kaffir lime leaves, sugar, salt, chili sauce
  
• lastly add the cooked chicken wings and mix well
• SERVE hot with steamed rice!

at exactly 7am, the 3 of us left Kampung Guru and straight to Jalan Kaki Bukit to pick Auntie from her house to join us for a short trip to Thailand! :D we didnt tell Chiak because i and ~j.e.j.a.k.a~ know he will be very very (100x) worried especially since we brought AzfarHazim along. the objective was to get Azfar's birthday gift :) in advanced tu..

baby carried Azfar all the way....since we were so near to the border, so y not..pi jugak la balik sana nu ...no border pass required :)

we are entering Thailand my dear

i bought Mempelam Tongdam (spell as u pronounce) for only RM2.5o/kg. In Pdg Besar, u will haveta pay RM5/kg...double the price!!! we bought tumbler, 4pcs for RM10 (in Pdg Besar, 3pcs 4 RM10), i bought periuk kukus+mengkuang kukus !!yesss.. :)dpt gak something..hehehe

after 2 hours of shopping at Wang Kelian+Thailand, the sun is shining oh so hot! so off we went to Pdg besar pulak. Azfar managed to get a few things-ben10 shirt+pants, ben-10 phone, baju askar..hehehe...and so we had our breakfast at one of the stalls..
